Heliamphora Sarracenioides is the most distinct from the other Helis species as it does not have a nectar spoon. Instead, the pitcher has a “hood” over the pitcher opening similar to Sarracenia, hence the name. This species is endemic to the small summit of Ptari Tepui where H. Purpurascens also grows.
